American Pie
Memorial Day weekend (unofficially) kicks off Summer which is always very exciting for a few major reasons. To me, those reasons are: Friends, family and (a lot) of food. It’s the time of season to get together for backyard barbecues and cookouts with the people you love most. Here’s to a great start to Summer…

I heart a good pie crust. This is the easiest (and tastiest) homemade graham cracker crust. I filled it with an ice-cream, peanut butter mixture (and sprinkled peanut butter cups on top…) But you can fill this crust with a variety of tasty options.
INGREDIENTS:
1 ½ cup crushed graham crackers
1/4 cup sugar
6 Tbs. butter melted
Pinch of salt
DIRECTIONS:
*Mix all ingredients together.
*Using back of spoon, press your mix into pie pan.
*Bake in pre-heated 375° oven for 7 minutes. Chill.
*Pour mixture into chilled crust. Freeze for a few hours (or overnight.)
*Remove from freezer 10 minutes before serving.
